The Case for Action

Nova Scotia faces significant health system challenges that coincide with health inequities and poor health in the population. For our health system to address these issues and achieve greater impact, measurement is key. That’s why HPI researchers are working to develop meaningful indicators of population health and health equity so that health system decision-makers can use these metrics and related tools to measure and improve the overall health of our population. Through this flagship project, HPI researchers aim to ultimately impact health system transformation, including potential changes to policy, service delivery, programming and more.
